..Long story, but after having my car's seats be re-covered in clear plastic,
the power seat motor runs, and the control switch seems to work (I removed and cleaned/
overhauled the switch, while the seat was removed)...the switch makes the motor 'noisy', so it's
not 'dead', now, either....
So, I'm thinking that the non-op of the seat may be related to the three solenoids and/or
to the wound-wire control lines that lead from the motor, BUT, neither side of the seat
is trying to move the seat (I know..the passenger's side is a 'slave' unit...)
...but, I don't hear any gear-gnashing going on...only the motor, sounding relatively normal,
but with the seat not moving or responding to the switch control.
P.M'ed Big M, but haven't heard back from him, Re: availability of a "core" solenoid or the use of an
experimental-solenoid assembly...
..but, really do not want to tear into my (newly-clear-covered) front seat, and/or tear into
either side of the power seat tracks (the tracks' movement-gearings' operation can be TOUGH to
coordinate.....but, if they do not perfectly coordinate, the seat track(s) will crab-around each
other.
So, does anyone have any seat solenoid assembly that they could loan-out, or sell, for repair-parts
purposes?
