I bought a p/s hose kit from moparmall.com and the end that screws into the pump is too large. Is there more than one kind of p/s pump? I believe it to be original. Is there a hose maker that has the right parts for a 1957 Plymouth Belvedere with a 301 v8?

Thank you for the fitting idea. I went back an looked at the old hose. There was a step down fitting attached. I couldn't tell at first since it was rusty and dirty. So the part from moparmall.com was in spec my ps pump is not original. Interesting.

I converted the 59 Dodge I'm working on to P/S and ran into somewhat the same problem. I went to a hose and fitting shop and had a hose custom made. It was about $100 til I got done and got it routed away from the exh manifold. Jerry

I had to find a v belt for this same unit. The one listed for 1957 Plymouth was too short by about 1.5 inches but the one for a 1957 Dodge 5.2 fit fairly easily.
