I spent the winter cleaning up the engine and bay. Replaced all the hoses and belts. Painted the engine. I know silver is correct but I always liked the early sixties big block turquoise. I removed and flushed the radiator. Three of the four bolts holding it in broke and had to be drilled out and new bolts with fasteners installed. I painted the side walls with POR 15. Still a few more details to work out but you can see the progress from when I first got the car 18 months ago. Now with warmer weather I am going to work on the dash, gauges and wiring. Then I think the body work with be next.

It hasn't changed much on the outside but it runs now.

The warmer weather has energized me as well. Congrats on getting it running. Nothing worse than having an old car that doesn't run.

Go Fred Go. 57 Belvederes were imported into Australia back in the day. I have seen only 2 Aussie 4 doors in real life, both were delivered as hardtops, and came with the bumper wings. I have wondered if they all came here like that.

Hope you get to drive yours soon.

Steve.

Wow you wake up one day and see that it has been three years since I brought home my Belvedere. Still making progress. I spent the whole summer of 2017 doing all the body work. I had never done anything like that before so it was slow going but I think it turned out pretty good.

The garage is not heated so I am mostly done for the winter but I am planning to finish up a little body work and then do the painting this summer. Then on to the interior.

Little by little.
