Location: Tasmania, Australia | Hi Forward Look lovers, I have just joined up and am loving the forum. So many beautiful cars here to inspire me.
My names stinky (just a nickname of course) and love the Forward Look era of Mopars, my hunger to own one is growing by the day and it will happen hopefully sooner than later.
My current ride is not so much forward looking but a nice Aussie Mopar ride none the less and I love driving it, unfortunately I will have to sell it to get my dream FL car. Its a 1964 Valiant AP5 running a slant, I will post some pics up but if it's not relevant to the site please delete.
Thanks for having me and I look forward to chatting to you all.

Location: Ramona, CA | That sure is a nice looking Valiant. From the rear it looks like a vintage Mercedes. Classy in the black with the whitewalls. Too bad you'll have to sell it to get your dream car but I know exactly how that feels. I just sold my Panther Pink 1971 Charger R/T project to get my Chrysler 300F. Had the Charger for nearly 30 years but the 300F was always my dream car. When I feel regret for the Charger I just look at the 300F and I get over it. |

Thanks Pete, the Mopar brand in Australia has been growing stronger over the last 10 years or so, they were once frowned upon and you could pick them up very cheap, but there has been allot of interest and people who have never owned them before are starting to appreciate them allot more.
The biggest Mopar car show was held this last weekend and attracted over 700 cars which is huge, its great to see so many more cars being saved.
Cheers Peter. |

Thank you Nick, I like it too. It's quite funny you relate the Valiant to the early Mercedes because in Australia when these cars were being produced, allot of the Immigrants from Greece were buying them. They were then nicknamed the "Greek Mercedes" and people still call them that now, lol.
That must have been a hard decision to make selling the Charger, but I must agree I think the 300F has it covered. |

Its pretty nice hey Ian, This model and up to the 67 VC Model have really nice interiors, my favourite interiors in Aussie Vals actually. My car is called a Regal, bit of an upgrade with nicer exterior chrome trims, split bench seats, radio and heater. The interior is actually original and untouched, it was a real credit to the previous owners who really did look after this car, kept it dry and clean.
I need to win Lotto so I can keep it and buy a FL as well.
Cheers Peter. |

Hi The Adventurer, don't really have something in mind as there is sooooo much FL awesomeness around, it's really comes down to what grabs you at the time I think.
My search has been somewhat stalled as I was made redundant 6 weeks ago after 17 years with the one company and haven't found any work yet, bit tough down here in Tassie and my wife only works 10 hours a week so we have to really budget hard until I find a new job which sucks.
I see you have your 57 NY for sale, that is a brilliant looking car and would make a great replacement to the AP5, but just out of my budget unfortunately.
I would be willing to import but I'm sure there is risk involved.
I don't know of Jeff in Granton, sounds like a great collection of cars he has. Would be great just to have a look.
Cheers mate

Haha thanks Trav, man this place has some awesome looking cars with so much information. I have no job at the moment so I have spending quite allot of time on here already, so much to look at, it seems never ending. It's gonna hurt selling the Ape, but I'm kinda over it and need another fix. A forward look is the answer I believe. |

Location: Tasmania, Australia | So I have decided to sell my Valiant, hopefully I can pass it onto to someone who will look after it as much as I have.
Time to start looking for a FL if it sells.
