Location: Hayward, Calif | Hey guys, I was digging around in the garage where I haven't been in long time and found a real nice set of Riviera wheel covers, ( about 1965 vintage ). They fit really tight !! Needed a heavy flat bar to get it off again. I thought they looked pretty cool !! The wife said ok for awhile, but I still want chrome wire wheels. I can take that center piece out of the spinner bar and make a new one without any logo on it, maybe even paint it the same color as the car. I thought that 215/75R15 tire also looks good there, as it kinda fills up the wheel well and still has plenty of clearance. What do ya think ??? Jerry

Location: Parts Unknown | My disdain for 59 Dodges is well known, so as Darnell would say ... "you can't polish a turd".
.... but given that it IS a sedan, and 59 Dodge dog dishies are about the best looking cap Dodge
offered that year, a good set of blackwalls and some dog dishies would make the most out of that
barge. I might even be swayed to think it looked kind of cool.

Location: Idaho - where men are men and spuds are spuds | YIKES! That's sacriligious. I think Doc is "almost" right - put the correct '59 Dodge spinners on with WW's. Although I must say, when I had Old Brown, those spinners are so-o-o-o-o heavy, it was tough to get them on tight enough so they wouldn't chew up the valve stems. Finally had to have rigid chrome valve stems installed to keep them from twisting.

Location: Hayward, Calif | I was going to make new centers for it anyway, I'l see if I can make up a forward look logo. As I said it is temporary until I come up with the chrome wires for about a $1000 that the wife has her heart set on. Been spending a lot of time sanding getting ready for the paint shop. Hoping for the 1st week in Oct. Then I can start putting the chrome on. Can't wait to see what it's going to cost to get bumpers rechromed. Jerry |

Location: Hayward, Calif | No one gives a Rats *ss about your disdain !! This is your psycho problem, inflicting your insults on those of us who own a 59 Chry Corp car is NOT in harmony with the many members of this website. Give it a rest ! My wife picked out this car for herself. She enlisted my help to restore it, which I have spent the better part of the last 5 yrs to ensure her dream comes true. The smile on her face when she drives it to her 1st car show will be priceless. Insulting her dream car and the 59 model of others on this forum has crossed the line of decency. It would break her heart if she ever saw the callous and cold hearted remarks you've made over the yrs. An apology on your part would help, but probably never be enough. So cowboy up. Lets see what your made of. Jerry |

Location: Parts Unknown | You can get all butt hurt about my disdain for 59 Dodges, or perhaps you can take my feedback
as a little more meaningful because I cross my own dislike of them to offer up an idea.
I was told for the first decade I owned finned cars that they were hideous eyesores, often finding
them spit on or vandalized by those who hated them. I trust you and yours can handle some mild
teasing about your ugly ass car. Get over yourself. All our cars are ugly ass cars.
To the point, .... do something different with that tub and make it super ugly:

Location: .Norfolk..Mafia.. ,England UK | Those 59 Dogs are rare, never really see them for sale.. Personally i Love the full 59 dodge spinners although they are heavy,
They would look good on a 57/58 Adventurer as i actually think the Gold Caps on them look a after thought and cheap..
Just like Doc i do have a few minor dislikes of our FLs where i think they could of done so much better...

Location: Parts Unknown | The 58 Adventurer cap is a 57 stainless wheelcover with a spinner added.
It was 56 and 57 that had the gold anodized aluminum jobs. I was nauseated
by the body color painted wheelcovers that several mfr's. used on their mid-
70's cars, and the gold Adventurer caps reminded me of them. Never liked
'em.
Yes, the 59 doggies are not often seen. One one reason I like them. Being
typical is unacceptable ! The 59 Dodge is arguably the most sought-after
FL car of all, and it is because they are so over-the-top. "Excessive" might be
another term one might use. The spinner wheelcovers look like the blades of
a stump grinder !!! For an excessively designed car, they were excessively in
balance with the rest of the design. I find that photo above quite striking for
it's subdued green color scheme and blackwall tires/dog dishie combination.
If I were to go the 59 Dodge route, it would wear a low-key color combo and
that tire/wheel trim.
