Location: Belgium, 40 miles south of Brussels | Hello,
I am reproducing the plastic connectors for Power Window switches through 3D printing, using a method known as Selective Laser Sintering. The parts are made of polyamide (PA 2200) and are very accurate, identical to the original ones. The prices are :
Master switch : $33.00
Single switch : $9.00
Shipping is $8.00 worldwide (up to 2 master and 6 single switches), with tracking information provided.
I have made some research concerning the interchangeability of those parts, using the '55-'58, '59, '60 and '61 parts catalogs. Those parts are known under references 1779276 (master) and 1779268 (single), but only for the '57-'58 cars. Most probably, they were only serviced (and therefore referenced) during those years and they were included with the wiring or the switches after that. Based on the references of the switches and the wiring, I was able to cross-reference some of their use.
I may be missing some applications, but here's what I've been able to gather so far:
Master switch connector
Electric Window Lift
1957 All - 1 per car - Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto, Chrysler, Imperial
1958 All - 1 per car - Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto, Chrysler, Imperial
1959 All - 1 per car - Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto, Chrysler, Imperial
Single switch connector
Electric Window Lift
1957 All - 3 per car - Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto, Chrysler, Imperial
1958 All - 3 per car - Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto, Chrysler, Imperial
1959 All - 3 per car - Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto, Chrysler, Imperial
Electric Door Lock
1958 All - 2 per car - Imperial
1959 All - 2 per car - Imperial
Electric Seat Adjuster
1957 All - 1 per car - Plymouth
1958 All - 1 per car - Plymouth
1959 All - 1 per car - Plymouth
Tailgate Electric Window Lift
1957 Sub. - 1 per car - Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto, Chrysler
1958 Sub. - 1 per car - Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto, Chrysler
1959 Sub. - 1 per car - Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto, Chrysler
I manufacture them by batch, so there may be some delay when ordering, if I have to launch a new one.
If you are interested, please let me know in this thread, write me a PM or an e-mail at "powerwindows at orange.fr"
Thank you.

Are you still producing these? I've PM'd you and emailed you (two addresses) - but not heard back. I don't mind waiting, I just would like to get confirmation that I can get in on this.
Thanks

Location: SWITZERLAND | Here you did a perfect Job, Vincent. It looks very nice! For not get heated and consequently the plastic get partly melted due to bad contacts, these should be restored as well, as shown here. The highest current is achieved at the windows end position, when there is no interruptor. - SERGE - http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=23691&start=153

It WILL fit, but as far as I know, the '60-up connector is made of two pieces.
Therefore, I think the cover will not fit, you probably will need to make a new one.

| I have a 57 300C with power windows. Are the parts offered still available? One main and three single gangs. Do you have the connectors availability for the wires going to them? I've ordered a complete power window wiring harnesses from Greg Leggatt and not sure just what's included. Please forward your information on what's available and pricing with your billing information. What is the lead time? My email is "sa-noia@PacBell.net". Thanks in advance. |

Location: Belgium, 40 miles south of Brussels | Well, my current batch of parts is sold out ...
I'm pondering about producing a third batch, as so far I have only 2 pre-orders.
If you're interested, now is the time to let me know.
PS : Brent (Doctor DeSoto) and Stephen (sa-noia), please confirm your order, because I did not receive any answer from my recent messages to you.

No, there was not enough interest, even though I advertised it across 2 forums.
Which is a shame, because I had designed an hybrid connector compatible with all years.

No, I meant an hybrid connector which is compatible with all years from '60 to '64.
There was small (and sometimes not so small) differences between each year during that period. |
