Location: Lower Mainland BC | The short braided ground wire in my IBK-4301A dual point distributor is failing/has failed. I've been looking for a replacement without luck since Friday. Even considered a cannibalizing a Ford part 7RA-12264 but I couldn't find one locally (Ford parts guy: "Yup that is a good number but I haven't seen one in 40 years")
eBay:
As I phoned around and kept coming up dry, e.g. there was a guy who rebuilt distributors - but he died 2 years ago, a little light bulb finally went off.
Braided copper desoldering wick. Just happen to have some
That will do nicely Donkey, that will do.

Marc: Thanks.
a) none of those are ground wires,
b) they are all days away
c) I want(ed) something yesterday.
I want to get my car going again. It's been almost 2 weeks since I drove it into the garage.
