much of the data trim plate is rusted and not readable. However, I found this much info I hope you can decode for me:
1st letter on left side of data plate under 6G is a 1
2nd letter on left side of data trim plate under M6 is a 1
M7 I cant read
4th letter under M8 is a 3
5th letter under heading of M9 is an 8.
Concerning paint colors, my car is seafoam green and white. Under the seafoam is white. Does anyone know if Plymouth Division painted all the cars the base color and then sent the cars to another paint line to have the two tone (2nd color) added?

Location: Ponder, TX | I can't help you with the decoding, but the '56 yellow and white Belvedere my dad bought new had yellow over white, so at least some came that way from the factory. |

Try doing a rubbing of the plate with white paper and a soft pencil turned on its side. Then post a photo of the rubbing so we can see what's what. Eg. Paint code.
Photo of the car would help.
