Looking for a pair of stainless steel rear fender ribbing also known as "sharks grill". This was a dealer add on option for the Polara's and the Matadors.

I've also heard them referred to as "washboards".

Welcome to the forum Gene. Those rear stainless steel pieces were optional at factory on both Matador and Polara. I suppose some dealers could have added them at the purchaser's request too. They certainly add to the car in a big way, but very hard to find. I owned a 1960 Polara for 21 years, now has been owned by a friend of mine for 22 years. This is a relatively recent photo. This car is loaded with just about every conceivable option including add-on Air-Temp A/C.
