I just finished reading and re-reading the only copy of Visoneer in the Vancouver BC area library system and could not renew the interlibrary loan after 3 weeks (I took it to California with me but needed more time to note details). Decided that I wanted to have my own copy but didn't want to pay some of the hardcover prices out there. Found this new 2nd Revised edition on eBay yesterday and bought a copy:

DepsilonD - 2017-05-16 12:50 PM I've got a copy that I still haven't sat down and read. Maybe this will motivate me.
There are some interesting tidbits in there for sure. One: Exner didn't come up with either "The Forward Look" or the Fookerang. Those came from a New York (I think) ad agency (think Mad Men).
Looks of others plus the typical plotting and scheming behind his back. I would like to see the movie.
I nominate Billy Bob Thorton to play Ex. Maybe John Goodman as Kaufman Thurman (sprechen sie Deutch?) Keller?

Another "tidbit"/myth buster was Raymond Loewy did NOT design the Studebaker 1947 Starlight coupe. Virgil Exner and his team did while working for Loewy. Loewy took credit for everything his firm did.
Ex did not do the bullet nose on the 1951 coupe, etc.

Book finally arrived today (1 day short of 4 weeks instead of the seller's suggested 2 weeks). Nevermind, it looks good. I am happy to own the book without spending too much to do so.
