Location: Hayward, Calif | Hey Guys, Finally got er done!!! Over 6 yrs working on this car. Wife is tickled pink! Finally got to drive herself to a car show. Only 047 miles on the speedo. She got the Peoples Choice Award. Guess that tells ya something about the judging when the other entrants pick a car the judge doesn't even mention. Anyway, she is really proud of it !! Enjoy the pics. Jerry

Location: Hayward, Calif | Hey Guys, Thanks again for all your nice comments ! And a special Thanks to you John ( Big M ), I couldn't have done it without ya !!! The lance and shield came from a 57 parts car, Thanks to John. I just couldn't seem to make them look right on this 59. When I got to the interior, I came up with an idea they would look good there along with the chrome bars from a 63 Riviera interior. Had the chrome guy plate a piece of 18 ga metal and the upholstery guy set it all in place. I thought the Chry dash has a classier look to it. So John helped me out on that too. Between the two of us it looked like it would fit. Shazaam, mounting holes all lined up. And the upholstery guy padded it. I couldn't find a suitable grille replacement and didn't care much for the looks of it anyway. So I made my own. I had my fab guy shorten up those big bars about 4" and made an adapter mounting plate for them. It kinda opens up the grille area and gives those bars more room. When I was getting down to the finishing touchs, Wife says, How much of my car is still 59 Dodge ?? Well Honey, Most of it !!! You will love it when I'm done ! And Thanks to everyone along the way with your helpful info and suggestions. This website was a life saver ! Thanks again, Jerry and Dea' |
