Me too, but I'm not an Imperial guy so I wouldn't go even that high. The car is way below my standard to pay that much.

| Paint job and interior. Based on the condition of the other stuff, assume it's a mess. All rubber would need replacing, wiring issues, front end rebuild, possible motor gone through, carb rebuilt, fuel system, exhaust, etc. By the time you do that, you'll release doors/trunk/hood were left shut during painting. You'd be in into an additional 50-60k to make it a restored car. |

Location: Grenoble - France | Apparently, still unsold 8 months later. Price a bit lower. Would the car be not worth the asking price ? Probably Mike was right.

Location: The Mile High City | The three images shown do not sell it very well at that price. The exterior shot has some promise, but the interior and engine shots raise more questions than they answer.

a 1971 Ford LTD would more than make up for the cost of any restoration.

Frederic has restarded the topic because we've a friend interesting in the car; he has already a '57 but in calimitous conditions: car has been completely disassembled by a mechanic because the car was flooded (water up to the dashboard) but this "professional" mechanic gave up work, didn't notice anything so how to rebuild the car when it's not the same person who try to rebuild !!!
So maybe with two cars my friend can do one ?
I've emailed the seller to have more pics. |

Location: Kansas City, KS | If this is truly about money, a 57-59 convertible bought at the right price might be the only Imperial financially viable to restore to museum quality or even factory original.
For around 15K, if it's a fairly reliable driver, it's cheaper than trying to get a long term project fixed up to similar condition. Based on the few pics in the ad, you probably won't find a better 1957 Imperial coupe for less.
Oh, and it has manual windows which is rare for a coupe too! |

Location: Northen Virginia | yes, this is probably the base model with crank windows, the interior is showing the base configuration. Now to the overseas buyers buying a car like this sight unseen, could be a very bad idea... |

Don't worry, i (or rather my friend) will never buy a car unseen !!!!! I've someone in LA who could see, report, buy and ship the car, in fact it's a french guy who sell "goodies". He has a very good feedback for all the cars he sells and ships. |

Location: California | Phil, I am the person that Pual mentioned. I saw the car a few months back. The car had terrible bondo work done to it. The paint job was poor . All the pot metal was pitted beyond repair. The only thing good about the car was that it started easily and ran smooth. I would run the other way from this car. |
