Putting my '61 New Yorker back together after having it painted. These brackets were off the car when I bought it. Does anybody know where they go to, if they even belong to it? Has a part number stamped on it OP-13-1.

Thanks.
Zak

They look like the edge clips that hold the rear edge of the front kick panels in place. They have to be attached to the base of the front door pillar before you install the kick panels.

Thank you for solving the mystery part. I'll check that out to see if they fit.

Guess 1: What is some kind of Plymouth, Alex?

Not quite the Valiant symbol but it seems very late 50's/early 60's Plymouthy to me.

Guess 2: Some mid-50's Studebaker?

That does look like a Studebaker emblem to me but not sure what year or vehicle.

The Studebaker has the same colors, but the colors are separated by a thin "S" in the middle, not a "V". The only thing I can think of here is maybe an Australian Valiant, but I have no idea what.
