Hi everyone, I'm looking for a halfway decent 1956 Dodge grille or trunk plastic medallion. I Hear the repops are nice, but I'd like to get an original. Anybody have one left over they can part with? Color is not important to me, as long as the plastic is not too terribly cracked. Mine are missing pieces.

I wish you luck in your search . . . . finding an original that is not cracked out is extremely difficult. I'm an NOS or original parts guy where I can be but I really really recommend the reproductions. I have my original crests at home and they are toast.

Just don't buy from George Laurie in Australia. He will take your money and....well, nothing. I have been waiting since October for new front and rear 56 Dodge repro'd medallions.

I have this one. It's not very good. Seems a person could take that center plastic thing and make a mold from it to make a new plastic part though. I'd let you have this one for the price of shipping it to you. Don't be surprised if it takes me a while to figure out how to send the pictures...

56D500Boy,
Sorry to hear you had bad luck with George Laurie, I read tales both good and bad online. I took a chance and ordered license lenses for my 56 from him. It took 3 months from ordering June 1st but I got them the first week of September and I'm very happy with the quality.
I'm going to keep holding out to find an original medallion. Maybe I'll find something at Hershey!
