can you run a 3 bolt sprocket on a single bolt cam? the pin seems to be in the same location so if the center bore has the same diameter it should work. anybody knows the answer?

The big difference is in the way the sprocket indexes on the front cam journal. The single-bolt sprocket indexes off of the front journal snout and the dowel pin; the front journal face is flush with the block.
The 3-bolt front journal is wider and the face extends about 1/8" from the block; the block side of the sprocket has a counter bore that indexes on the outer diameter of the journal and the dowel pin.

Sid, are you changing out the timing gear in the Fury?
If so be aware of the new cam sprocket touching the block.
This happened to me when I installed a new (single bolt) set in my 413, with the original cam. There was an embossed number on the back side of the cam sprocket which touched a bulge on the front of the block (oil gallery I think). It sounded like a bad big end and destroyed the new timing set. I purchased another different brand set to fit to the motor and had to machine the back-side of that cam sprocket to make clearance, as it was very close also.

A few seconds with a flapper sanding disc is usually all it takes to clearance the block.
Had it happen a number of times too with the dual roller timing chain sets.

Was that a double-row chain sprocket or original single-row?
