Location: Cochrane, Alberta | The drivers door latch mechanism on my 58 Chrysler I am restoring is buggered, which isn't surprising as the drivers door gets the most abuse over the years.
The "spur" looking locking wheel in the mechanism always free wheels and therefore wont latch; obviously the others only free wheel when the door handle is actuated to open the door.
Can these door lock mechanisms be rebuilt? If not I guess I will be on the hunt for a good one. |
