Save yourself some hassle and install an electric fuel pump. If its a show car and you want an original look then there are pumps that have been adapted to fit the hemi engine. Check hothemiheads.com for mechanical fuel pumps.
Sometimes the originals will show up on ebay but are overpriced and may or may not work.
You can hide an electric pump and keep the mechanical pump for original visuals also. May need a little modification to allow flow through the mechanical pump and I would remove the eccentric that rides on the cam (no need for the friction).

Electric fuel pumps don't automaticly shut off when the engine stalls, or worse, you've crashed into a curb or a tree while peeling away from the local hee-haw carshow.

It's pretty easy to set up an electric fuel pump with both engine shut-down and vehicle roll-over protection.
I have done both in the past and can give some guidance if anyone needs it.
