1960 Plymouth Valiant Wagon

This in my opinion is a very cool hot rod. How else would you describe a 150 mph Station Wagon! The fact that this car was built in California I believe qualifies it as "California Cool". Chopped top - 2 door plus many more mods. Tig welded chassis and all steel body in exception of a fiberglass hood. Car is equipped with aluminum head, twin dominator, 496 c.i. Hemi with a 9 inch ford rear and power glide transmission. This 2450 lbs combination was documented in Hot Rod Magazine in July of 1983. Was a Contestant at the last race at Lions Dragstrip!

Too bad it doesn't still have the paint job it had in 1983. This lame "Prince Valiant" job really detracts from its cool factor.

I wonder what that tailgate is like. Maybe just a thin panel?
