So, I'm trying to order some wheel cylinders from Rock Auto for a 59 Fury and they list wheel cylinders for "3 platform brakes" and " non 3 platform brakes". Looking at the pictures I can't tell a difference nor can figure out what 3 platform brakes means". Came anyone clarify?

Chrysler Corp switched to 3-platform brakes in Dec 58. Different support plate, wheel cylinders, backing plate. When was your car built ? This info should be on the data plate. That will determine whether you have an early-59 or late-59 (3 platform brake) setup.

Thanks guys for the info. I spoke to John at Big M and he educated me on the fact the it was a mid year switch. He indicated the best way to identify is by looking at the hold down spring. The 3 Platform (later) have GM style looking hold down springs vs the odd Chrysler spring clip.
