I have a 318 block that I've been disassembling and I could use any advice on how to remove the crank hub so that I can get the timing cover off the 318.

The block is stuck; badly corroded cylinders. It'll probably have to be bored over, and I'm trying to remove everything from it that I can prior to pulling it from the car.

I haven't been able to locate a manual online, either, that would tell me how to assemble and disassemble this engine, so any help is appreciated.

What year 318? Some years don't have the separate damper/pulley but the removal is basically the same.,

It's a 1960; I've got the top end off the motor and hope to get the crank free so I can rotate the engine to unbolt it from the transmission.

As far as I remember from my truck (Dodge W200 /w a 318A engine) I used a puller and used appropriate screws (same thread size, but ways longer) to use the mounting threads of the pulley. It came of quite easy.

Good luck!

Dieter
