Subject: E.C. Kiekhaefer standard trans question 1955 C300

Hello,

Can someone tell me how the 55' C300s shifted when Mr. Kiekhaefer modified them for running standard trans?
I think the normal, non-modified cars had them on the dash. Pretty sure E.C. used a floor shift, but I can't find the resource that shows what he used, thus I cannot verify.

The pic below is of the interior of one of his C300's. Looks like a column and shifter from an earlier car.

I really like the auxiliary gauges and the fancy plate they used to cover the auto trans lever spot. Also none of that nasty sound deadening stuff to be seen.

I think he used a factory set for manual transmission. It actually comes from earlier cars.
