They all used to be adjustable. We took the cover off, adjusted the point setting, read the outcome on a meter, and put the cover on. This was just an external adjustment of the points inside.

I know that the mechanical voltage regulators are all adjustable.
I was just wondering whether this externally adjustable regulator is better or worse than the normal cover-off adjustable types.
I just liked the idea of being able to have my multimeter attached to the battery with the engine at fast idle and then being able to dial in a voltage that I like, e.g. 13.9 V.
