Location: Apple Valley, CA | Hello,
I am having a whole bunch of trouble figuring out what master cylinder to get. I want to run the scarebird front disc kit with factory 11" drums on an ebody rear end.
What master cylinder do I need? 1 1/16? 1 1/8"? What bore size? And what application should i get?
Thank you |

Location: NorCal | Just did the same swap on my '57 Sierra; tried the 1 1/32" MC and the pedal was too low, changed to the 1 1/8" MC and have a good pedal. The Dodge Ram calipers require a lot of fluid volume.
I used a Raybestos MC39178 MC with a 4-bolt to 2-bolt adapter.

Location: Apple Valley, CA | Ok... so I have spent a whole lot of time trying to find a 1 1/8 master cylinder that bolts up. M1404 seems like the winner, it is the "hemi" master. I dont care about originality, at autozone it is the only one i can find and it is remanufactured.
What is another 1 1/8 master cylinder???

And, yes, manual brakes.

Yes, rear drums with 15/16" cylinders. I used the Wilwood 260-11179 combo valve.

| i think I'm going with that master cylinder you posted.
I have power brakes though so the back cylinder is kind of hard to check Fill it with a tube...
I will have to use an "offset" adapter plate also since its going in a hemi.
I was thinking about this also but its very small, only a 1 inch bore.
