I'm a bit confused on where the factory located the negative battery cable end in 1960. After scouring pictures on the internet I'm still confused. I've seen them bolted to the vacant hole at front end of head AND under the ignition cable separator bracket.
Does anyone have some evidence as to where they were located? Were A/C cars different? Were U.S cars different than Canadian?

Engine ground cable: Pass side right rear end of the head to firewall. Battery ground: Drivers side front end of the head to battery.
Agree. At least that is my experience with my 56 Dodge D500, as shown in these two photos from last summer. In the first photo you can see the engine to firewall ground wire if you follow the line of the black wire cover towards the blue firewall. In the second photo, if you follow the black battery cable you can see where it is bolted to the driver's side (left) head, under the generator.
