Which years and applications used rims with these 4 bumps on them near where the hubcaps go? I am thinking maybe '60-'61 DeSoto, but I don't really know. Are they used for the hubcaps or some other purpose?

I have these on two wheels of my '61 Plymouth, they are for those hubcaps with the metal ring around the edge.

I think I know what rings of wire you are talking about. Did any stock hubcaps come with that wire around them in the forward-look years?

Far as I know, they did, but not sure why the factory produced two different types of hubcaps. I've got a few of that ring kind.
