Haul from this past weekend. The desoto dodge is a Canadian sign, very rare and in fantastic condition. The neon desoto bust on the floor, does anyone know what years they were made and for what purpose? Any information appreciated!

I know what they sell for, just wondering if there was specific information as to when and why they were produced.

The thing is kinda creepy haha. I have copies of some brochures of the advertising stuff from chrysler and plymouth. What signs they made, how much they cost, etc. I have nothing on this. I've threatened the wife with putting it in the house.

I need to get one of those, I really like them. I love the smaller neons

That might be one of the only intact bubbles on it. I've seen 4 in person and all of them are missing the bubble.

Picked this one up in the Spring. Same guy had an intact one with the bubble and neon but it wasn't for sale. Don't know the years unfortunately.

Mike, this thread has a little more info and some good pictures. Also saw one on Mecum and it claimed it was from 1949.

I certainly appears like a colossal version of the 1949 De Soto lighted hood ornament!
