| Who here has put Vintage Air in their vehicle? Would love to see pics... If you have done this, did you hang it off the bottom of the dash or did you mount in dash and duct the vents. I recently purchased a 61 Chrysler Windsor and need!!! to put some air in her. I want to keep it as simple as possible, but I love the clean look that she has now. I've searched and read a lot of posts regarding the vintage air units, but i'd like to see the end result before I dive in. Thanks in advance

Location: Hayward, Calif | I put Vintage Air ( from Summit ) in wife's 59 Dodge. Hung it from bottom of dash. It looks nice and works well. Check your gas pedal / foot side clearance before final mounting, so as to not have issues with room for your foot on the gas pedal. I also used a rotary comp as had clearance issues with the hood. And yes it is too cluttered behind the dash to try to put something there. I don't have any car pic's on this computer or I would send them. Jerry |

It looks long, but its a hybrid of 2 air cons. I wanted to run ducting to the windscreen vents
This is an Australian built one (hence the r/h/d) so I actually set it further to the left. It actually would have sat nicely over the
trans tunnel if I hadn't widened it.
This was a heat and cool model as the Aussie cars used a truck heater and the coil sprung a leak so I needed heat and cool
Vintage air are not the only manufacturers of under dash style air cons and as said, to try and shove one up underneath would be a huge challenge

Location: Newcastle Australia | I've also mounted a Vintage Air unit in my 59 Dodge. Being RHD makes it a little more tricky.
The glove box has been sacrificed.
And I cut part of the air box away.
There was no room for the flexible ducting so I fabricated air ducts with PVC and fibreglass.
