Location: San Antonio TX | I want this! Looks absoultely incredible. Don't know enough about these to say if it's worth the almost $80000 asking price. https://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/ctd/d/1958-chrysler-imperial/6641079907.html |

| This nice and 675 built? It sure should be. A friend of mine sold his, almost the exact same colors for 75 or 80k last year. |

Location: Northen Virginia | Car looks nice from 60 feet away. hard to know the exact condition with these bad pictures. It is not one picture of the engine either. For that kind of money you should be expecting near perfection. |

Wish the pics were bigger but for this much coin, shouldn't be buying based off pics anyway
If the underside and engine look as nice as the top side, it would be hard to find a better '58 convert for less money |

Location: Kansas City, KS | Those Sotherby's pics show a lot more close up detail and a lot more minor flaws especially in the paint
Looks like upholstery has been changed since then too
Hard to believe a '58 convert sold for 37K if it wasn't a major project

Location: Grenoble - France | The car was originally white (XXX, Ermine), had the red interior (087, with the red and black dash), and here and there, there are wrong or missing pieces (not to mention the shot exhaust line). At least they fixed the seat pattern. But now the door panels look different and older.
As a side note, to add to the puzzle of dataplate decoding: C1 and F7 options. Wonder what they are...
In fact, this convertible is the twin sister of that one :
http://vi.vipr.ebaydesc.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemDescV4&item=12...
The red one is serial 15166 while the white one is 15164... Built the same day, and probably there was only 1 car between them in the assembly line on that day at the Jefferson Avenue plant.

I would agree that this is a great example of a free market yes, in that a seller can get ultimately whatever some smuck wants to pay for it. Kudos to them for flipping it on I suppose.
