Location: San Antonio TX | Lol. Set up for 4WD with transfer case and drive train, but no motor included. If you've ever wanted to go off road in a FL, then I guess this is your car... or truck? I'd be concerned with the clearance on the back fenders. Seems like if you hit a really big bump while off roading, those rear tires would hit the body on those smaller rear wheel openings. I'd never pay $5k for this, but if he let it go for $1000, I'd totally buy this just for the novelty. https://asheville.craigslist.org/cto/d/58-plymouth/6645797281.html

Location: So. Cal | I like it. There was a time in my life that I needed 4x4, and I would have loved this back then. I just don't need it now, but I'm just glad he chose to use a relatively unloved sedan to do it. |

Location: DFW, TX | Back when "monster trucks" were built from real vehicles (the '80s) I always thought they should make one from a '58 Plymouth and call it Crushtine. But that was a 7yr old's fantasy. This thing falls a little short.
Even this thing might be good for some redneck fun though. Price is a bit steep for something that still needs... everything! |

Anything 57/58 Plymouth is far from unloved
If memory serves, The book Christine was a 4 door
Anyway, it would take a lot of work to get that road legal here and then I wouldn't take it off road anyway
in case I damaged it. Parts are to hard to get and are pricey

But I don't see the issue with parts breakage. The only parts you are going to break are the truck parts. Maybe put a meshed grill guard if you intend to go through a lot of brush. |
