It's a Crown coupe with factory A/C
I've heard about fin cars getting their fins cut off in the 60's to blend in with the current fashion but this is the first 1957 Imperial I've seen like that!
Also note the fender trim and gun sight tail lamp chrome has been removed as well
Definitely an unusual car!

Oh wow. I wasn't paying attention and didn't even notice all those things when I saw the ad and thought it was just a regular Imperial. It actually looks pretty good with the reduced fins. It reminds me a lot of the 'plucked chicken' 62 Imperial.

The "reduced" fins look utterly ridiculous. Why someone would spend the time to do this, when they are not even that high to begin with... This has been for sale before, I told the seller the fins had been cut but she insists they have not and they all were like this.....

are they reduced in height or just wider? The pictures seem to support either idea or both. In the rear they don't look shorter but about midway up they seem overly wide.
If the engine and trans are unmolested like they say then its worth it. Steering wheel doesn't look terrible either.
