Hi all,

We're from New Zealand and will be travelling through many of your states throughout August into early Sept we've got no set route. Would appreciate any headsup on must see things to do and visit, also would love to stop in and see some FWDLK(or any classics for that matter) along the way. Junk yards, car shows, private collections.

Pm me with anything.

Thanks so much.

If you get up to Washington state, visit the LeMay Family Collection in Spanaway, just south of Tacoma. It is the remains of the largest private collection of antique cars in the world, some 3,000 plus, with about 500 cars now on display Tuesday thru Sunday. And on August 25th they open their private estate to the public too, with another 300 cars there. They have free transportation between the two sites, about a mile apart. They are great folks, and dozens of volunteers help make it a special day. Hundreds of spectator cars will also be on display, and an auction is also planned.

Fifteen miles north in Tacoma is the LeMay - America's Car Museum with about 250 cars on display. It was started with the donation of about 600 vehicles from the LeMay collection, but most were sold off by the management, who are not the dedicated enthusiasts the LeMay folks are. But still a worthwhile stop.

On August 19 is the large MoPars Unlimited show in Graham WA, also south and east of Tacoma.

As Darryl stated, LeMay collection is a must as is the MoPar show in Graham if'n you are here at that time. http://www.cruzinmag.com/calendar.html covers the Pacific Northwest car shows pretty well and I suggest a visit to https://www.wildcatmopars.com/ if you go through Portland.

On the outskirts of Seattle is the Museum of Flight for aeronautical buffs and downtown is the Center for Wooden Boats for non-aero.
