I have put my Plymouth back to L/H/D. As it had been 1/2 converted to r/h/d before I got it, I don't have whatever it is that blocks up the hole that the column goes through in the firewall

Does anyone have a picture of what blocks it and how it all looks once its in?

I looked in both my parts manual and service manuals and there isn't anything that gives me a clue

Cheers

Not sure what you're talking about but you might find it in Gary's catalog? . http://www.garygoers.com/cat10A.pdf and http://www.garygoers.com/cat10B.pdf

I don't know what I need exactly, that's why I have asked for a picture, but at the bottom of the steering column there is a big egg shaped hole in the firewall that the column goes through.

Where the steering enters the engine bay, there must be something that seals the engine bay from the interior

There is an adjustable sheet metal plate that that covers the hole in the toe board (some call it a Duffy plate) and a rubber seal seals the metal plate to the steering column. Pic of the rubber seal is from the Gary Goers catalog.

I don't think that's it

The original holes in the firewall (including the one the column goes through) had all been welded up but I have re drilled an basically re opened them
all, but there was no evidence of bolt hole around where the column goes through

This is a 60 Plymouth, so must be different because of the unibody?

Thanks for looking though

There are 2 grommets. One functional that is bolted to the firewall with a steel core und one completely out of rubber, just for looks, that sits above the carpet. My PC does not accept my camara anymore, otherwise I would post a picture, sorry. Just noticed, the latter is in Goers catalog, it's #449B

Thanks Sid, I think I can see how it works

I don't have a core for it so I will make something similar

Cheers
