Hey everybody i have a 1956 dodge lancer and the drivers side door latch keeps getting stuck and the door wont shut . is there a company that rebuilds them or sells reproductions

Have you tried lubricating the latch so the star wheel rotates to a new position each time you close/open the door. Might help.

Otherwise, I have seen Lancer latches on eBay from time to time. Search on "1956 Dodge door latch"

Reproductions of any forwardlook parts is not usual - especially for a latch. You will need to get a good used one. The star wheels typically wear out with hard use and lack of lubrication. Find one with good innards and it should work better for you. Big M is a good place to find one.

Sorry. Had to ask (sometimes people miss the obvious).

I think the PN you seek is 1683 529 (see below). Works for both 1956 Dodges and Plymouths.

I found a 1683 528 (right front) at AMS Obsolete (formerly Mitchell's) so a 1683 529 might be out there:
