| I have a 58 plymouth Belvedere with original brake booster that is leaking. I have not seen another car with this same exact setup. It looks to me like a kelsey hayes bellows maybe but has a metal cover over it? Can anyone verify what I have and suggest a supplier?

Location: CA | It's not the Kelsey-Hayes unit (bellows type), that is the Bendix (canister type) unit. When a car got power brakes either unit was used depending upon variables. Lots of other cars have it and it's a better unit in my opinion as there isn't a big rubber bellows to blow out or crack on you. |

Location: Connecticut | The Bendix units seemed to end up mostly on Dodges and Desotos, while the K-H units were used mostly on Plymouths and Chryslers. No idea why. They are interchangeable. Ron |

Booster Dewey in Portland OR rebuilds them. They rebuilt the unit on my 1960 Chrysler. http://www.boosterdeweyexchange.com/

| Maybe this was a Canadian Plymouth originally? The Dewey Booster website seems to be down or gone. Now that I know to look for a Bendix it might be easier. A rebuild would be ideal since budget is a factor.. |

| Thanks for the tip. I was able to find a local shop that can rebuild it for $245. They had some no longer obtainable seals made up for those particular units and have all the parts in stock so I'll take it in next week. |
