I thought that, based on some recent questions about power brake boosters, that I would consolidate some of the info that I have accumulated into one post that can be referenced in answering future 55-58 Power Brake Booster questions (I only have 55-58 info but some of it might carry over to 59-61).

That is exceptional of you to post this information 56D500boy! I clearly have the 1735620 booster. I noticed on the side view of the 1731216 that there are bolts accessible from inside the firewall that hold the booster unit to the bracket. This would facilitate removing the booster separately from the bracket. On the booster I have I don't see these bolts and don't see how the booster comes off the firewall bracket. You don't happen to have a side view of the 1735620 booster/bracket assembly? Thanks again for posting all this, it really is awesome.
