Two oval shaped holes in core support on driver’s side, below terminal block. What are they for?

I am considering blocking them off to force a little more air through the radiator.

Not knowing for sure, but trusting the engineers who designed that rad support, etc. I would say that they are there to provide some cooling to the battery which is just there on the other side of those holes.

I was thinking that too, I’ll just leave them open. I imagine the radiator cooling advantage of plugging them would be minimal at best anyway.

yeah probably wanted some free air moving under hood.

maybe to help the down draft tube, take some fumes out of the engine bay?

maybe make sure the battery was getting air movement since these batteries would blow up
