| I got this super cool Miss Mopar poster. I believe it to be from 1948ish. I'm trying to figure out what the rest of the poster looked like. Has anyone seen it before? I'm also including a picture of an ad using the same woman, but it's different. Batteries are turned sideways and the parts are different. I'd love to see what the complete shot looked like so I could attempt to complete the poster. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It should for sure be the same as the black and white one - you could make a high quality scan of both, and paste in the missing part from the B/W - then color it in Paint shop and make new print-outs.
I'd say that many here would be interested in a copy

| Yes, but the black and white is a totally different picture. It's using different part numbers, batteries are turned sideways, etc. |

That' correct, but you can copy and paste the top battery and use the legs and feets - this is an easy task for a skilled Paint Shop user.
Perhaps Serge would be able to help here?? |

| I have a team more than capable of doing it, but I want it to be right. I think the bottom part is missing over a foot of banner. If I do that, I want to do it correctly, not interpret it. |

Look at the printed date in the lower right corner. |

Location: Northen Virginia | obviously they were recycling the Miss mopar drawing. The B/W drawing look like the original, the colored is obviously a enhanced version (selling more), trying to squeeze more of it putting sparks plug boxes in her hand... |

| The print ad uses a 1500 series number I believe on the boxes vs the 1300 series number for the poster. |

The print ad uses a 1500 series number I believe on the boxes vs the 1300 series number for the poster.
But strangely, they still show 6 volt batteries in Sept 1955 at the time of the switch to 12 volt.

I suspect if you were to look through some of the dozens of pin-up photos, illustrations, and other images you would probably find that the young lady in these advertisements posed for a pin-up artist - not an advertising company.
While we all tend to think "stock images" is a new thing, it really isn't, and pin-up girl images were often used in multiple presentations.

There is a date on the B&W version.

Location: Northen Virginia | My wife said that the drawings are quite different. The b/w is a childish drawing, while the colored, it is more realistic and modern. Bigger cleavage, bigger boobs, wider shoulders and a more realistic body, also a more suggestive look on here...Only women can see that kind of stuff... |
