Location: So. Cal | The left side spear trim on the quarter panel of my newest 2dr New Yorker is too short by almost 2 inches. I looked it over really well and I don't see any hint that it has been modified. I measured all the quarter panel spears in my possession and this is the only one that is shorter. Where did it come from? I thought that maybe the Windsor without the 2-tone used a shorter spear, but I haven't seen any pictures of them that don't reach all the way to the tail light. The Saratoga seems to be the same. Any idea what it could be from? |

The '58s generally mounted their quarter trim more 'horizontal' than on '57s. Could that result in a trim piece that's a full 2" shorter? I doubt it! But... maybe?
