Location: San Antonio TX | The Lancer was a masterpeice compared to the 62 Dart. If I remember right, some Chrysler executive caught wind that GM was downsizing all their cars, so he demanded that all of Mopar's marques downsize their cars as well at the last minute. The cars were quickly resized and not very well which gave the cars weird proportions. It was later revealed that GM was making a smaller car, but it was to be sold along size their full size cars. Imagine the shock and horror among Chrysler's executives when they found that out. Exner became the scapegoat for their massive blunder and was ousted in 64. All this resulted in the wierd looking early 60's small Mopars.
