Location: So. Cal | Missing the rear glass & side trim is a real bummer, but you should offer it up for sale whole as long as you have a VIN still on it. Gathering up the rest of the parts isn't too difficult because it shares the same parts as a 4dr sedan which are pretty easy to get. There are always parts out there, but cars that people want are few available - especially such a rare and desireable '58 Fireflite wagon like this.

I agree, this 58 big desoto wagon is quite rare, and deserves a second chance |

Thanks for all the interest ,, Body and frame is spoken for now,,, I do understand that this Desoto is a very nice wagon !! I have a 2 door 57 wagon too that I am doing a complete on that now,,, Will defiantly help out with what is left on this wagon.
Some inside trim too. , Vent frames Ect. Front bench seat with good frame, non power. Dash, again steering sector / column as listed , rear end,,, Front hubs both sides, large brakes,,, Let me know your needs as car will be gone in three to four weeks.
I just want to help anyone needing some parts. I saved this car from the crusher !! I do love the Mopar Wagons TOO !!

| There are a few more items to part out on the Desoto wagon, both the Vin tag and body data plate if anyone wants them for nostalgic reasons.
Tailgate Right side hing, center straps and holder that holds spring straps. Left hing broke,,, Tranny push buttons and assembly nice and moves freely through all gears.
I have out full rear differential with housing and axles complete, Big drum brakes, Might be a sure grip , all indications yes, if interest I will take apart. Not sure of gear ratio ?
Also now off the steering column and power steering sector, still has hoses attached., Not a problem shipping on my end, can take all apart or ship complete.
PM me if interested. THANKS |

| No,
But spoken for , what might you need off of it ? |
|

|
Location: Parts Unknown | As has been expressed above, this is a seriously special car, in spite of being stripped.
The frame is unique to a very low production run of long wheel base wagons, and I will
guess the chassis contains a few unique items for that unusual combination.
My question is, is this chassis just going to get hacked up and dumped ? The body is
common to all wagons, and a LWB nose clip could be found if needed, but that chassis
would be a shame to lose. It should be saved. Heck, as much of the car as possible
should be saved !
Will it be saved or just picked for a few items and the rest scrapped ? Where is it located ?

Location: DFW, TX | Maybe you could take your 2-door wagon shell and put it on this frame. Then reassemble it with the big-body Desoto front clip, and paint and trim it out as an Adventurer wagon! |

Location: Parts Unknown | Car fantasy build No. 431
LWB wagon chassis, 2-door wagon body, passenger car fins and bumper,
finished as a 58 DeSoto Firedome sedan delivery, straight bar side trim like
the no-sweep 57's, paint it monotone Buzzard Puke Green, set it on body
colored wheels, with dog dishies and blackwalls, and paint it in period com-
-mercial lettering for Town & Country Diaper Service with an address and
phone number like "Hudson-4-2129"
All I need is a 58 LWB wagon chassis and a smidge more insanity !

Location: Western Colorado | I didn't realize there was much interest in the 4 door wagons. I will be selling a very rusted 58 new Yorker 6 pass wagon body
with a good frame if there is any interest. It's been pretty picked over with no tailgate or front clip. It's also had a 9 pass wagon r/s quarter put on it at some time in it's life and had another fuel tank installed on that side. Also has a heck of a trailer hitch welded to the frame.
If anyone is REALLY interested I can take some pictures.

Location: bountiful, Utah | That was my old wagon! You got it from a wrecking yard in Grantsville Utah several years ago. It was a loaded car without the motor and someone cut The front end off when they got the drivetrain out of it. It's red and white. correct? What do you want for what is left? Email me at r_spencer15@yahoo.com.
Thanks

Location: So. Cal | That would swap with other cars from '55-'56. They make a good upgrade for a Dodge or Plymouth as they are 1/16" bigger. |
