Has anyone ever thought about painting a 1956 Plymouth Fury in Cherry Red with an Eggshell White Hardtop? It would be neat to see one.

NOOOOOOOOO! There are enough Christines out there already. We (the world) doesn't need a lovely beige and gold (factory colours) 56 Fury Christinized with red and white paint. Please don't.

(Now if you wanted to do that to a normal 56 Plymouth Savoy 2dr hardtop, sure, that is another kettle of fish).

In my opinion.

I sent a telegram to Heinrich at the Institute, asking him your question. He
checked the log books and responded back that six people have thought about
it, but none took action. The archives contain no photos of such a beast. The
kaphistulator has been updated to 3.2, so records should be very up-to-date.

Well if I ever get a 56 Plymouth Fury then I might just be the first to do just that. Maybe pop a 354 Hemi with Dual Quad in there while I'm at it.

I'm no David Hasslehoff, but were it me, I'd get a 58 Chevy Biscayne with a six and a
3-onda tree and give it the Christine treatment. The best of all worlds.

Turning an original 1956 Plymouth Fury into a "Christine"????? Holy crap.

Sorry - the suggestion itself sounds like someone trying to justify marrying their cousin because they're "distant enough".....

I agree that if you were to do this, why would you do it to an original Fury?? Dumb. Just do it to a hardtop Savoy or a Plaza sedan. Even doing this to a Belvedere hardtop would be pure stupidity since the Belvedere trim is soooo much better than anything you would be doing to the car. I did something, sort-of like what you are considering, except in blue. I was originally going to paint the top white too, but I found (through Photopaint) that it would detract from its looks so I didn't do it.
