I am trying to figure out how the Dodge emblem attaches to the front grill. There are 2 tabs that I assume use some type of speed nut but it is a type that I do not see anywhere else on the car or have ever seen. They are about 3/8" wide and ~ 1/8" thick. There is one on ebay that shows the back and from of the rust marking it appears they were some kind of steel clip or something. If anyone can get me a good picture of the back of their logo and a potential source for the part to attach it I would greatly appreciate it. I have tried to find it in the parts catalog unsuccessfully, but it is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

The PN for the 57 Dodge front Grill Medallion is 1624 881. There are repros out there. I hoped to find a photo of the back of a repro to see what was up. (No luck )

See MORE info under the photo.

I found the grill medallion PN by following the 7-17-1 down the rabbit hole, assuming that the 7-17-8 clips would make sense. They don't sorry. I tried.

yes there was a steel clip that held the plastic, you can see the rust, its like a flat piece of metal, like the emblem clips. its like a one time apply thing and probably explains why they are broken all the time.

Thank you for the information and I believe those would be the correct parts to hold on the medallion per the IPB. Wish I could find an image of one of those or a source for them. I have a repro emblem and need to attach it but it is going to take something pretty specific it appears.
