I'm going to the junkyard soon and one of my searches will be for original brake cylinders that I can have sleeved for future use as I'm guessing Chinese replacements were installed prior to my ownership. My car has power brakes. I know the master cylinder assembly is different between manual and power brake cars but does anyone know if just the casting is the same between manual and power brakes?

Thanks,
Shawn

I found this using the Mopar Parts Interchange book but they list 3 different ones for your car. It might not be what you are looking for in terms of a complete answer but might help you when looking for other cars as opposed to just your Plymouth since it appears to have been installed in Dodges, Chryslers & Imperials as well. If you are restoring your car to original, I have a brake master cylinder in good shape I would be willing to part with since I am using mine as a driver and not a restoration. I can send you a picture of it if you are interested.

For some reason I cannot attach the pictures I have to the reply thread so I will have to try and PM you with them.

Finally figured it out but If I make the pictures meet the 250KB size requirement they are simply illegible. If you find the MOPAR
Parts Interchange manual I think you will find your answer.

I found the interchange manual on the mymopar site. Thanks for directing me to the information and taking the time to try and send photos.

I believe the casting number should be 1850162.
