Others, why are these motor mounts so hard to find and so expensive when they are found? |

Location: So. Cal | Is that flywheel for a 6 cylinder with 6 bolts? I may have an 8 bolt flywheel if you tell me how many teeth it needs. I think mine comes from an earlier car, but not sure.

| I have a '59 Plymouth wagon with a 318 three speed that is complete. The bell housing and flywheel would probably be the same,
but don't know about the z-bar. |

| I have this one that I pulled myself from a 66 dodge truck with 3spd Manuel. It's 6 bolts? This bell and flywheel were in the trunk of the 61 ply and it was a 318 car.

I think the clutch housing is correct, it has all the same geometry on the block side as my 1960 automatic trans housing with the exception of not having the 3 bolt starter (which was not used after 1960). My 318 has 8 holes in the crank flange, but I'm willing to bet that the 6 stud flywheel will work.
NM Desoto,
Clutch housings were the same between 1957 and mid 1960, not sure what the difference is, might be the switch from 3 bolt to 2 bolt starter and nothing more.

Can you check a few dimensions for me?
- Diameter of flywheel pilot register (want to make sure my crank will fit flywheel)
- Diameter of flywheel
- Number of teeth
- Distance between pressure plate mounting holes (both the big and small pattern)
- Bolt pattern for transmission
- Pilot diameter for transmission
- Depth/length of the clutch housing (distance from engine block mount surface to transmission mount surface)
See pictures for reference.

Where did you come up with part number 2128350? My parts interchange manual and the mopar parts manual show 2128348 for 1960 and 1961 Dodge and Plymouths with 318 V8. I still believe your parts to be correct for my 1961. |

Location: Muskego, WI | Ah ok, wonder why I can't find that part number in the parts manual. I was reading into flywheels, it appears flywheels were somewhat universal between 6 and 8 cylinder engines prior to the introduction of the slant six. Earlier 6 cylinder flywheels only had 4 mounting holes. |

Location: So. Cal | His number is a casting number. Not the same thing as a part number. Casting numbers are often 1 or 2 digits off from the part number so it is at least plausible to be the correct part. |

Location: Muskego, WI | For those that might be curious, this flywheel does indeed fit my crank. I actually confirmed the fit on my spare 1956 Chrysler 354 Hemi crank, which also fits the torque converter that was behind the original 318 in my 1960 Plymouth. My 318 is on an engine stand so the flywheel could not be test fit directly to the engine. |
