Rocker cover bolt seals

imfinlay Posted 2019-06-25 10:52 AM (#584037) Subject: Rocker cover bolt seals Extreme Veteran Posts: 489 Location: London, England Looking at the workshop manual today, I noticed that the 301/318 V8s for 1957 at least have a seal under the washer for the rocker cover bolts. Anyone know what they're supposed to be? Looks like M8 are close enough, and an appliance hose seal is pretty much a dead match for the washer but in rubber.
