Red dash/black colum and aero wheel

Apollo 61 Posted 2019-07-08 12:55 PM (#584560) Subject: Red dash/black colum and aero wheel Elite Veteran Posts: 769 On my 61 Plymouth it has a black aero wheel and black colum. The dash is and interior is red. I have noticed this on a few other 61 aero wheels cars. All other 61s I've been looking at have a color matching colum and dash. A guy who recasts wheels told me that this was common on aero wheels because Chrysler thought it safer to make more black wheels than others. Then they just used them on the colored interior cars ? Is this true and what have you guys found? At $1950 to recast I don't want to get it wrong! Anyway, if you have to have it recast anyway, why don't you just make it color matching? A red wheel looks better on a red dash.
