hello, i have a 58 dodge mayfair. the trans is a pushbutton 3spd. i have been trying to rebuild it. its all together but when reverse is engaged it will back up but drive forward when engine rpm is above 1000. it was a complete overhaul that included a new shift cable. anyone ever seen or heard of this?

thanks! the sealing rings that i had installed were not correct. i could not find any n.o.s. and gave up on aftermarket since the two sets i had purchased were not exactly the same. i just reused the originals and the trans shifts great.
