Bumped into this Sweptside today when I went to see the 56 Dodge Coronet D500 at Willowbrook Chrysler in Langley BC
Very nice. I didn't open the hood so I don't know what the engine is. I *was* surprised to see that the transmission was a 2 spd PowerFlite (not a 3 spd Torqueflite/Loadflite) so I would guess the engine is a 6 cylinder. (??) No hood "V" so I guess it really must be a 6.
The door handle photos are there for a reason (turns out that I have one for some reason - which I will be selling/trading away).

That's a nice one! Black and Turquoise is a great color combo. Yes, probably a six. Those door handles differ from cars,, I believe because they have a flatter angle. Marc.

I know. That is why I took photos of the truck (that and those rear fenders Yum)
Sometime ago I purchased a "pair" of door handles off eBay. I don't know if I noticed at the time but when I got them I saw that they were not the same. The mounting plates were at a different angle and the pivot pins were a different size. During my recent renovation of my left rear door, I had the opportunity to use one of those two handles to replace the okay one that was on the car with a nicer one. That left the one with the less slanty (or no slant) mounting plate and the larger pivot pin.
These photos are of the left hand handle I took off my car and the other "unknown" (but probably truck door handle). I am going to put the "truck" handle up for "sale" (free to a good home plus shipping) in a few moments.
