Sometime ago I purchased a "pair" of door handles off eBay. I don't know if I noticed at the time but when I got them I saw that they were not the same. The mounting plates were at a different angle and the pivot pins were a different size. During my recent renovation of my left rear 56 Dodge Custom Royal sedan door, I had the opportunity to use one of those two handles to replace the okay one that was on the car with a nicer one. That left the one with the less slanty (or no slant) mounting plate and the larger pivot pin.

Yesterday I bumped into (not literally) a 58 Dodge Sweptside truck. I noticed the door handle was similar to my 56 Dodge sedan door handle but the mounting plate was not very slanty if at all. *DING* (bell goes off in memory banks). Hey!! That is *VERY* similar to the now totally spare one that I have at home.

Bottomline: If you have 57-59 truck and are looking for a replacement or spare left side door handle, this one can be yours for the price of USPS flat rate shipping.

Anybody? Apparently I can actually throw things out (see my armrest post) so this is not an idle threat.

I could use it Dave. I have a '57 truck. Let me know what you need for shipping to Los Angeles.
