I just retrieved the front pump for my 57 Windsor cast iron TF from the transmission shop to help with the search for new parts (separate thread).
I was surprised that inner and outer rotors were both about 0.68" thick. I thought that they would be thinner. I have no clue what the thickness of the "high flow" 58-61 1736162 inner and 1736163 outer rotor/gear set was/is.

Remember, what ever the gear thickness was, the pump body would be different to accommodate that diffent thickness if in fact it there were different thickness gears.

Thanks. I know that. (I think )
The original PN for the 56-57 pump housing assembly with the two rotors (1636 394 inner and 1633 658 outer) was 1879 394. Apparently that eventually superceded to the 2084 319 assembly (with the 58-61 gear/rotor set, 1736 162 inner and 1736 163 outer) (image of said NOS assembly below). Have no idea how thick the 17 series rotors are.
What I am trying to determine is do I have the original "low flow" pump body and gears/rotors or do I have the "high flow" pump and rotors (?)

Anybody know?
Found out by buying a 1949 600 (superceded PN for the 1736 162 inner). About 0.81 inches:
